Day after day, Madeleine, the cannonball woman, is expelled miles from her home and has to walk home. When she finally arrives home, exhausted, she finds her husband waiting for her, contented, reading his newspaper in front of a good plate of spaghetti pomodoro. One evening, however, Madeleine does not come home.
